Coincidence occurrences, random events and likelihood. Over the lifetime, people ask themselves – was it just an occasional event or was it triggered by other happenings or was (or is) it a coincidence …
Depends on who we are and how we prefer to reason, one may think of such events rationally and get the best outcome. Others may approach intuitively relying more on so-called human intuition and get the same result.
So what is the point you may ask?
Well, what we can see here is the ability to use the patterns of human thinking processes and to extrude certain random events into a chain of less or more probable occurrences – the events.
However, since no one can have exactly the same thinking process, we may see a lot of what we call coincidences. They can attract each other and interleave with pure random events. As a result we may observe patterns which are in direct relationship with our reasoning ability to separate the streams of linked events from a number of attraction points beyond our intrinsic abilities to perceive information.
Making one more step further, such attraction points could be considered as the behavioral «isles» in our lives. And then all extruded events as the «bridges» between those.
Such analogy helps to find the attributes of the isles and the bridges – we may assume that they have several facades or may have several levels and so forth.
In the attempt to unlock such attributes Heurolabs developed a unique machinery that can be fueled with the events collected from different domains audio, visual or textual. Thus, one may see the «isles» and the «bridges» in those cases when any other platform or tool will fail.
Experience the platform using API and demos at web.cognitio.heurolabs.com and give us a feedback, so we can let you see the «isles» and «bridges» even better.
